New Super Dollar Store Opens On Barnett Road

, Oregon - Legend says that George Washington tossed a silver dollar across the Potomac. At the new Super Dollar Store on Barnett Road, it may not go that far, but with the bargains they have it will go a lot further than one would think.
"The other Dollar Store is going to lose a lot of money now that I've been here," said customer Jen Stephenson of Medford, as she wheeled a full shopping cart to the checkout. Stephenson was delighted to find the new store so conveniently located to where she lives.
Up until now there hasn't been a dollar type store in this area.
"One of the factors for us opening here is that there wasn't one on this side of town," said Shannon Green. Shannon and her husband Marlon have been planning the new store for the past 15 months.
"The location was so great we couldn't pass it up," Shannon said. The Dollar Store is not a franchise, she explained. "We can pick and choose what we are going to offer our customers. By doing this we can get better quality products."
If the Greens get their way, this will not be their only store.
"We wish to open one or two more stores in different locations within the next year or so," said Marlon. "This store shows you what you can really buy for just one dollar."
"As the primary buyer for the store I do lots of searching for the best quality products available," said Marlon. "We also take tips and suggestions from our employees as well as from our valuable customers."
Listening to the needs and desires from the customers ranks highly with the Greens. if they are asked to find something special they are willing to go the extra steps required to find it. With them. customer satisfaction counts.
Listening to their employees also makes for a special relationship between store owner and what goes into their stores. If an employee finds out about a customer's need, it's quickly reported to the Greens. With this valuable information Marlon goes into action. He will do all he can so that upon the customer's next visit they will find it on their shelf.
Opening up a new business is always stressful, but if the reasons are important it will be well worth it.
"We put this store together for our kids," said Marlon. "We wanted to give them a better today and an even better tomorrow."
